Paleokastritsa is one of the most scenic resorts in Corfu. It nestles below the cliffs of the north-west coast and the view from nearby Bella Vista is probably the most panoramic and famous on the island.
Paleokastritsa is spread along a road which winds its way down to the Monastery, passing the coves and beaches that make up the spectacular coastline in this area. The geography of the area results in most of the holiday accommodation being situated in its own garden area, producing a relaxed atmosphere. Along the length of the resort, there is a large variety of restaurants, tavernas, bars, supermarkets and gift shops which will meet the needs of even the most discerning visitor. At the bottom of the resort you will find a large sheltered inlet which was originally a working harbour. It is currently being redeveloped as a marina.
A holiday in Paleokastritsa is a Greek experience you will treasure. Situated close to several typically Corfiot villages, it gives visitors the chance to explore Corfu and its traditions. Alternatively you may choose to simply lie on one of Paleokastritsa's beaches or beside one of the resorts numerous swimming pools. The larger beaches provide water sports and boat trips, while boat hire is available at several locations.
Paleokastritsa is ideally located for touring the rest of the island. There is a local bus service that runs throughout the year to Corfu Town, with buses departing on a regular basis during most of the season. Transfer time from the port or airport is approximately 30-40 minutes by car or taxi.
