Paleokastritsa is without a doubt one of the most scenic resorts in Corfu. It is located on the north-west coast, where it nestles below the cliffs on which the village of Lakones perches. The view from the nearby Bella Vista is probably the most panoramic in all of Corfu.

The resort is spread along the road, which starts at the Lakones junction and winds its way down to the monastery passing the several coves and beaches that make up the spectacular coastline in this area. The geography of the area lends to a pleasing resort where most of the accommodation is situated in its own garden areas, giving a relaxing atmosphere.

Being only 25 kilometres from Corfu Town, it is ideally located for touring the island, the resort having several car and bike hire shops. There is also a local bus service that runs throughout the year to Corfu Town, with buses running on a regular basis during most of the season. Transfer time from the airport is approximately 30-40 mins by car or taxi.

The larger beaches provide water sports and boat trips. Boat hire is available at several locations. Along the length of the resort, there is a large variety of restaurants, tavernas, bars, supermarkets and gift shops.
